CARPENTER / LEADING HAND OPPORTUNITY – FULL TIME

BUILDING / LANDSCAPE LABOURER — PERMANENT PART TIME

This position would suit a person experienced in the landscaping, building, mechanical & jack of all trades industries.

Your role:

  • Will require (at times) to operate a small truck, utes, and to hold a minimum light rigid (LR) licence or ability to acquire one.
  • Practical navigation skills / knowledge as well as being mechanically minded is necessary.
  • This role presents an opportunity to learn skills & experience in operating site earth moving machines.

GROUNDS MANAGER / FARM HAND / HANDY MAN

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY?

DO YOU WANT TO UTILISE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITHIN AN INTERESTING MULTI-SKILLED ROLE, ASSISTING A FAMILY BUSINESS & TEAM TO GROW?

This position is based in the Southern Downs Region and surrounding areas. 

This position would suit someone with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as Grounds/Farm/Handy-Man.

You will be required to:

  • Maintain & improve property grounds – (e.g., fencing, garden maintenance, building repairs, machinery use & upkeep, etc.)
  • Direct and oversee general farming activities – (e.g., livestock health & performance, fertilising, pest & weed control, stock movement, record keeping, etc.)
  • Contribute to the farm policies and the annual development programmes & projects of the property
  • Liaise with management and contractors.

As Grounds Manager and Farm Hand, you will be part of a business team.

You will need to provide your own transport (4WD Ute) & basic tools to site.

You will be required to work a minimum of 5-days per week (on average & sequentially).

If needed, accommodation can be provided (you will be given the opportunity to discuss these options during an interview).

We are wanting an experienced multi-tasking mature administration officer with a high level of integrity & trust.

Sustainable Pty Ltd is a design & construction company dedicated to building communities with long term targets of zero environment impact by a responsible design lead approach and based in Karana Downs. If you are local and tired of travel and daily traffic community, and want an opportunity to step back from full-time corporate life, you may be who we are looking for. Over experienced persons will not be ruled out. 

Roles will include but not exclusive of:

  • Initial point of contact for client enquiries (good PR skills)
  • Work with CEO on all aspects & regular reporting & PA tasks
  • General administrative duties
  • Administer assistance for other staff members
  • Strong marketing interest & understanding importance of business development
  • Website updating & keeping regular articles submitted
  • Basic level of accounts management – wages, suppliers, data entry
  • Excited by Industry leadership and continual product improvement

The position would be 15-20 hours per week either taken as 3 days/week but flexible for the right person. 

In return, we will offer a friendly work environment, an attractive remuneration fitting of skills & flexibility with working hours.
